Asia Global Institute is a multidisciplinary think tank co-established by The University of Hong Kong and the Fung Global Institute.
The institute’s mission is to generate and disseminate research and ideas on global issues from Asian perspectives. It aims to inform global policy and actions towards a prosperous and sustainable future for all.
Asia Global Institute's predecessor, Fung Global Institute was established in August 2011 with Victor K. Fung as Board Chairman and Michael Spence as Academic Council Chairman. In July 2015, Asia Global Institute was inaugurated at the University of Hong Kong, assuming the mission and operations of its predecessor. In May 2022, Professor Heiwai Tang has been appointed as Asia Global Institute's Director.
