George Lwanda is Strategist and Team Leader of the UN resident coordinator’s office in The Gambia at United Nations. He has an MSc in Economic Management and Policy from the University of Strathclyde and is currently studying for an LLM in mining law.
George is also an alumnus of the Mo Ibrahim Governance and Development residential school and The Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) residential school on multi-dimensional poverty, and a former South Africa Institute of International Affairs Eskom-Barrat fellow.
His research was on the lessons that African countries can learn from the formulation and implementation of SEZs in China.
