Bakhrom Radjabov is an expert on social innovation, political economy and international development with a main focus on the research and application of social innovations in the Eurasian region. He is currently Head of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Uzbekistan, and is also an adjunct professor at Webster University in Tashkent, where he teaches international relations and education and innovation.

Bakhrom worked as a Senior Administrative Assistant at OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Missions to the Republic of Uzbekistan. He worked at the UNDP in Uzbekistan, where he led programmatic efforts in the areas of public outreach and promotion of social innovation within the country. Bakhrom also served as the National Project Coordinator for the German International Development Corporation (GIZ) regional project, where he worked with government partners, researchers and international consultants. He also worked as the Project Manager of the UNDP/Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations Joint Project aimed at adapting population skills to the post-pandemic economy in Fergana Valley.

Bakhrom holds an MA in international studies from the University of Tsukuba, Japan; an MA in global political economy from the University of Kassel in Germany; and a PhD in social sciences from the University of Tsukuba. He was trained in social entrepreneurship and humanitarian innovations at the Brown International Advanced Research Institutes, Brown University and in public policy at the Central Asia Program, Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University; in innovative entrepreneurship and business Management at MASHAV; and in think tank leadership in Central Asia at the Hartie School of Governance and Eurasia Foundation. Bakhrom is also the recipient of prestigious scholarships from the German and Japanese governments, and a participant in various international programs run by the US State Department, American Foreign Policy Council and the Rumsfeld Foundation.

His research as an AsiaGlobal Fellow will focus on social innovations in local communities through the evaluation and comparative analysis of social innovation projects in select Asian countries.
