Asian Perspectives Global Issues

About AsiaGlobal Dialogue

The AsiaGlobal Dialogue is Asia Global Institute’s premier forum for constructive dialogue to bring out fresh perspectives on key global issues.

It is increasingly important that platforms for informed and frank discussions, such as the annual AGD in Hong Kong, address head-on the numerous challenges that we face. At stake is the relatively open global economic system that has benefited so many societies in the post war period.

- Michael Spence, Nobel Laureate, Advisory Board Co-Chair, Asia Global Institute

We attempt to bring Asian perspectives to bear on global issues, ever mindful that there is no single perspective in a region as diverse as Asia. Equally, Asia benefits greatly from having access to global perspectives, such as those represented by distinguished overseas speakers and participants at this dialogue.

- Victor K. Fung, Advisory Board Co-Chair, Asia Global Institute

Launched in 2012 by Asia Global Institute's predecessor Fung Global Institute, AGD presents a select group of business leaders, international policy makers, and influential members of civil society a platform on which to consider and exchange ideas on pressing issues of our time.

Over the years, AGD has featured international thought leaders such as Ayala Corporation Chairman and CEO Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, The Center for Global Enterprise Chairman Samuel J. Palmisano, HSBC Holdings Group Chairman Mark Tucker, Kerry Group Vice Chairman George Yong-Boon Yeo, Schneider Electric CEO Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken Chairman Marcus Wallenberg, Suntory Holdings President Takeshi Niinami, former U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volker, and former U.S. Federal Reserve Board Member Stanley Fischer.

Some of these influential voices serve on the Advisory Board of Asia Global Institute.
