Coronavirus: No need to isolate for 14 days before hospital treatment

In an interview with the Times, Layla McCay, 2017 AsiaGlobal Fellow, says the new rule which allows UK patients to go to hospital for planned care without two weeks of self-isolation could help address a backlog of patients needing treatment, adding that relevant decisions should be made locally according to different circumstances, rather than nationally.
