Nurturing future leaders and influencers with deep understanding of global issues from Asian perspectives is a core mission of the AsiaGlobal Fellows Program. The Asia Global Institute arranges company visits for the Fellows to provide them with opportunities to interact with leaders from all walks of life.
Visiting the Li & Fung office in Hong Kong, the Fellows had a stimulating discussion with Dr Victor Fung, Chairman of the Fung Group, on the development of the Greater Bay Area in China and how the business model of the company evolves to ride on new digital trends to create the supply chain of the future.
Dr Fung is Asia Global Institute’s Advisory Board Co-chair. He is also a member of the Hong Kong Government's Economic Development Commission and Chairman of the Steering Committee on the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme. To enable AsiaGlobal Fellows to gain first-hand experience in Asian cultures and perspectives, the program conducted a India study trip in October.
During the study trip in Delhi, the Fellows visited the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), one of the top and oldest premier institutes in India. Through the insightful discussions with IIT Delhi, our Fellows understood how IIT Delhi is one of the leading global technology universities that provides a transformative education to create leaders and innovators, and generates new knowledge for society and industry.
