In this afternoon briefing, Dr. Changyong Rhee, Chief Economist of the Asian Development Bank, will recap the findings of the ADB’s regional outlook for growth in Asia for 2013. He will also explain the links between energy efficiency, growth, and development for the region’s key economies.
Dr. Changyong Rhee is the Chief Economist of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and has over 20 years of professional experience as an economist, financial advisor, and academic. He was the Secretary General and Sherpa of the Presidential Committee for the 2010 G-20 Seoul Summit, as well as Vice Chairman of the Financial Services Commission (FSC) and Chairman of the Securities and Futures Commission of Korea. Dr. Rhee has published widely in the fields of macroeconomics, financial economics, and the Korean economy, and obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University, and Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Seoul National University.
