AGI Endowed Professorships

AGI Director Zhiwu Chen, Professor Victor OK Li, and Professor Zhigang Tao were among ten distinguished academics to be awarded Endowed Professorships by the University of Hong Kong.

Professor Chen was named Victor and William Fung Professorship in Economics; Professor Victor O K Li, the Cheung Yu-Tung Professorship in Sustainable Development; and Professor Zhigang Tao, the HSBC Professorship in Global Economy and Business Strategy.

The ceremony took place on March 31, 2017 at Loke Yew Hall and was officiated by HKU Pro-Chancellor the Honourable Sir David Li Kwok Po. Also present were University President and Vice Chancellor Peter Mathieson as well as distinguished guests including AGI Advisory Board Co-Chair Dr Victor K Fung; Special Advisor for The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ltd George S K Leung; and New World Development Company Executive Director Sonia Cheng Chi-man.
