Shelly Sun is an Australian lawyer, community leader, and cross-border governance practitioner working at the intersection of law, technology, multicultural leadership, and Asia-Pacific engagement. She is the founder and principal solicitor of Sunsolis Legal, a multi-office Australian law firm serving culturally and linguistically diverse communities across commercial law, migration, property, family law, and cross-border legal matters.

Admitted in New South Wales and registered as a foreign lawyer in Hong Kong, Shelly specializes in strengthening access to justice and institutional trust across Australia, Hong Kong, and Greater China. Her work includes leading initiatives that apply artificial intelligence and legal technology to multilingual legal services. 

A dedicated civic leader, Shelly is the charter president of the Lions Club of Sydney Sunny and president of the Australia Chinese Table Tennis Lovers Association. Through law, sport, entrepreneurship, and community institution-building, she fosters social cohesion, leadership pathways, and cross-cultural understanding. 

She is an alumna of the William Ah Ket Leadership Program at the Australian National University, a delegate to the Australia-China Youth Dialogue, and was selected for the Asialink Chinese-Australian Community Leaders Summit. 

As an AsiaGlobal Fellow, her research will explore how legal systems, civic institutions, and emerging technologies can strengthen institutional trust, social cohesion, and cross-border collaboration in the Asia-Pacific, with a focus on multicultural governance and AI-enabled access to justice.
