About Sahar Albazar

Sahar Albazar is a Member of Parliament (MP) and the Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee at the Egyptian House of Representatives.

She is the former president of the Forum of Young Parliamentarians representing more than 24,000 young MPs in 178 countries. Prior to that, Sahar was an advisor to the Minister of Social Solidarity and a social protection consultant at the World Bank.

In addition to her experience in government and international organizations, Sahar had worked at several Forbes 500 companies including P&G, Johnson & Johnson, Abbott, and British Petroleum. 

In 2022, she was named a young global leader by the World Economic Forum, and was selected as a World Fellow by Yale University.

Sahar holds a master's degree in public administration from Harvard Kennedy School.

Her research as an AsiaGlobal Fellow will explore ways to enhance trade relations between Hong Kong and Egypt.
