Jamie Ko is a practitioner at the intersection of technology, policy, and public life in Southeast Asia, with a deep interest in how societies navigate growth, change, and belonging. She currently serves as the acting executive director of the Tech For Good Institute, Southeast Asia’s first technology policy think tank founded by Grab, where she drives its research agenda alongside the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth. Previously, she led regional public affairs at Grab, managing policy portfolios for the gig economy, mobility, and artificial intelligence. 

Prior to Grab, Jamie worked at the Boston Consulting Group, where she spent a year in the firm’s Social Impact Immersion Program advising international NGOs, and headed the firm's Singapore social impact initiative. She also served as director of strategy and business development at the HR-technology startup Pulsifi. 

Beyond her corporate roles, Jamie has fifteen years of experience building community initiatives. In 2011, she founded the Singapore Chapter of the Fung Scholars Network, which now connects over 600 members locally. She has also initiated efforts on digital inclusion and platform worker resilience, and founded Craft for Conversations, a platform using craft-based activities to spark meaningful conversation.

As an AsiaGlobal Fellow, her research will explore how high-cost global cities can remain livable and socially cohesive as they integrate with surrounding regions, using Singapore and Johor as a central case study while drawing on lessons from Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
