Diana Teoh is a consultant, startup ecosystem builder, and capital strategist with over a decade of experience in advancing innovation, inclusion, and sustainability across emerging markets. Her work focuses on empowering women-led ventures, unlocking capital for underserved communities, and catalyzing local innovations at the intersection of capacity building, youth, gender and green growth.
Diana has launched and led regional accelerator programs and early-stage syndicate initiatives that support startups and social enterprises tackling systemic challenges. She has supported over 100 startups across Asia and Africa. Her professional journey spans venture capital, startup market access, corporate partnerships, and public-private partnerships. Diana has also driven more than US$800 million in commercial deals across sectors such as real estate, insurance, pharmaceuticals, energy and waste. She actively mentors entrepreneurs and serves on advisory boards of startups focused on solving grassroots challenges and improving access to capital.
Diana is actively engaged in shaping inclusive investment ecosystems by advancing gender-lens investing, sustainable capital design and innovation-led program development. Her work bridges market-driven solutions with development goals, contributing to financial inclusion, climate resilience, capacity building and equitable access to entrepreneurship for youth and underserved communities.
She holds a bachelor's degree in international trade and financial risk management and a master's degree in enterprise resource planning from Victoria University of Technology in Australia.
As an AsiaGlobal Fellow, her research focused on catalytic and impact investment strategies at the nexus of green growth and gender equity in emerging markets, with a particular emphasis on the ASEAN and BRICS regions.
