About Bruce Pang (HKSAR, China)

Bruce Pang is an economist, equity strategist, and sector analyst with extensive leadership experience in financial research and corporate strategy. As an expert in macroeconomics, policy analysis, real estate economics, financial markets, and asset allocation, he has led research teams and collaborated with internal and external stakeholders across diverse, cross-cultural business environments.

Bruce is a member of the Chief Economist Forum in China, a distinguished senior research fellow at China’s National Institution for Finance and Development, and a research fellow at the Center for Housing and Urban Development at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He also holds adjunct faculty positions at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Fudan University, Renmin University of China, Sun Yat-sen University, and other institutions.

Bruce has extensive knowledge of the economies, policies, and financial markets of Mainland China and Hong Kong. He regularly shares insights and thought leadership with major media outlets, including Bloomberg and CNBC. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and books, contributing significantly to both academia and industry.

Bruce holds a PhD from The University of Hong Kong, an MA from The University of Chicago, an MSc from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and a bachelor’s degree from Renmin University of China.

As an AsiaGlobal Fellow, his research will focus on China’s evolving growth model and its implications for the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
