Vice Chair, GITI Group
Cherie Nursalim is the Vice Chair of Giti Group, a diversified group with real estate development, manufacturing and consumer lifestyle presence in the Asia Pacific region. Ms Nursalim co-chairs the United Nations global initiative Sustainable Development Solutions Network Southeast Asia based in Kura Kura Bali and is co-founder of the United in Diversity Foundation.
Nursalim serves on the Advisory Boards for MIT Sloan School of Management, Columbia University, Tsinghua University, Nanyang Technology University Business School, University of Indonesia Research Center for Climate Change and NUS Medicine International Council (NIC).
Nursalim sits on the council of IMAGINE, Partnering for Green Growth (P4G), the World Future Council, Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Asia Society Policy Institute and International Chamber of Commerce Merchants of Peace. She is among the co-founding members of the Global Philanthropists Circle with Synergos Institute, Asia Philanthropy Circle Singapore and a member of the Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS).
Cherie Nursalim is a recipient of the Satyalancana Heroes Service Medal from the President of the Republic of Indonesia for her role in the founding of a new international organization G20 Bali Global Blended Finance. Earlier she was recognised by the Ministry of National Development from the Singapore government as founding board member of the Gardens by the Bay, Baiyulan Award from the Shanghai government and the prestigious David Rockefeller Bridging Leadership Award. Ms Nursalim’s initiatives for HIV AIDS awareness in Indonesia for GT organization won award from Indonesian government, UNAIDS and International Labor Organization.
Nursalim received her Bachelor in Engineering Science and Economics from Oxford University, her Master in Business Administration from Columbia Business School, and Harvard Kennedy School WEF Young Global Leader fellow.
