Johannes Wiegand is the head of the regional economic studies division in the Asia Pacific Department of the International Monetary Fund. An IMF employee for more than 20 years, Wiegand previously headed the Fund’s climate and development policy division, and worked in senior positions in the IMF’s Research and European departments. He also taught at the London School of Economics and wrote commentaries for the Financial Times. Johannes holds a PhD from University College London.
