About Akinari Horii
Mr. Akinari Horii is Special Adviser and Member of the Board of Directors at the Canon Institute for Global Studies, a research think tank in Tokyo, Japan.
Mr. Horii also advises a few internationally active business firms, including Tokio Marine Holdings and Nomura.
From 2006-10, Horii was Assistant Governor of the Bank of Japan. During this period he was responsible for the Bank’s international activities.
Before his governmental appointment, Horii had worked at the Bank for three decades as a Practitioner and an Economist.
