Services and Global Value Chains

Global Trade and Investment Governance

Services play a crucial and often dominant role in global value chains; it contributes to both to job creation and economic development. As patterns of production, trade, investment and consumption evolve, we ask how the next generation of GVCs will shift, jobs, income, profits and wealth.

We explore the role of services along the Global Value Chain, and their contribution to growth, development, and innovation.

In a world where deep governance challenges mar effective international cooperation in trade and investment, we explore alternative architectures for managing these increasingly complex relationships.
